Making our community better
It is incredible how one small idea can grow into something truly special. Fort Recovery Community Foundation is rooted in the belief that we all have an inherent responsibility to make a meaningful difference in our community.
WHO ARE WE?...
The Fort Recovery, Ohio Community Foundation, Inc. was founded in 1992 to assist local benefactors who wish to contribute to Fort Recovery's future. The Foundation is governed by a Board of Directors composed of twelve residents of the Fort Recovery area. This diverse group of individuals is concerned about improving the quality of life of our residents. Most board members are also active in other local organizations. The Foundation provides a means for charitable giving by administering funds donated by the benefactors. Contributions to the Foundation are income and estate tax deductible.

WHO CAN GIVE?...
Private individuals, local businesses and civic organizations are encouraged to contact the Foundation. Gifts to the Foundation can include money, bequests, and trust funds. The Foundation's Board of Directors will dispense the gifts according to the donor's wishes.

WHO BENEFITS?...
We all do!
Endowed scholarships, sponsorship of community events and funding for parks and community improvements are examples of the beneficiaries.
FOUNDATION GOALS
The directors of the Foundation are guided by the following goals:

To aid in the establishment of trusts for charitable, benevolent, or educational purposes

Administration of these trusts in a way that will meet the changing needs of the benefactors and the beneficiaries

To provide means for the distribution of the trusts, either according to the benefactor's directions or according to an impartial committee's selection process that is consistent with the intentions of the benefactor

To safeguard and to provide security of the gifts
